Quality Is The
Cornerstone Of Every
Douglas
Battery
.
At Douglas Battery Manufacturing Company, quality is not the
responsibility of a single department. We have empowered all of our employees
with quality. We strive for continual improvement; it is a way of life. This
practice is evident through our commitment to design, manufacture, and
deliver the best battery to our customers.
Quality is vital to every aspect of our operation, and every employee is
aware of his/her responsibility to producing a quality product. It starts in
our product planning process where a multi-disciplinary group provides input.
This group often includes our customers and our suppliers. The quality
concept is communicated when the product is released into the manufacturing
process. Within the process, we have numerous automatic testers and
inspections. After passing final inspections, the product is shipped and
delivered to our customers in the most efficient means possible.
Our product planning process is based upon an Advanced Product Quality
Planning Process (APQP), This process includes inputs from
multi-disciplinary groups involving customers and suppliers.
Information obtained from previous designs applied to Failure Modes and
Effects Analysis (FMEA) for the design and process are used to eliminate non-conformities
before they happen. Our products incorporate all fit for use
attributes. Extensive field and application research and benchmarking
assures the battery will be designed, tooled and manufactured to do the job
intended. We genuinely
engineer and manufacture the best product available.
